Meetings. *smiles* Fortunately, they aren't things I've really had to endure. Now cop conventions, those are hell.
Winter's not bad, from what I can remember of them.
Bowling alley's the bowling alley. It's still open. After uh, I hired a manager after, you know... and she's terrific so I'm sure it's in safe hands. I feel kinda bad about selling it since she's going to be out of a job. Maybe I should give her a belated bonus or something 'cos she was pretty much running it on her own during the summer. But yeah, I'm having some prelim contracts drawn up as we speak so it shouldn't be around much longer.
Well, Carnavbal's in Brazil and I have no plans to go back there anytime soon. But a dance? I'm in New York.
And you're in Florida.
I'm not sure what to make of winter. Last year was the first year I ever lived anywhere that got snow and New York got a ton of it. It was fun, but I hurt my shoulder again because I shouldn't have gone out to play in it right after the skiing accident.
It seemed like a good idea at the time.
Maybe the new owner will keep the manager on. You can always put in a good word for her.
There's a carnival in New York. And they dance there.
It's not that far. Chicago's even closer.
You hurt your shoulder again ... making snow angels?
Yeah, I thought about putting a clause in the contract saying that she comes with the business but my lawyer said it'd make it harder to shift the place. I'm gonna leave her one hell of a reference though.
Women do. You should meet Frannie, she's real upset right now 'cos she's afraid after the baby's arrived she won't be able to wear her Jimmy Choos anymore. My sister hasn't really learnt the meaning of prioritizing yet.

I miss summer already.
How's the bowling alley?

Date: 2006-10-19 09:55 pm (UTC)I made a snowman! My first! And I fell off a big pile of snow in the park, that's how I hurt my shoulder again. It was dumb.
That's good of you. I can't imagine it's easy to manage a bowling alley. I wouldn't know where to begin.

Date: 2006-10-19 10:02 pm (UTC)Can I ask what you were doing standing on a big pile of snow in the park? Sounds kinda risky.
... evidently, it was.
As long as you look good in the shoes, there's nothing to it.

Date: 2006-10-19 10:06 pm (UTC)I climbed up it, of course!
I always look good in shoes. I love shoes. I got a cute new pair this weekend, I should post a picture.
