You know what I like about Canadians? They're real easy to elbow out of the way.

Today was productive.

Prelim papers for the bowling alley have been confirmed and a large deposit is heading my way. Some guy wants to open up an indoor fighting arena in the building instead; like they need one of those in Tampa. But I say let him. It takes the damn place outta my hands.

You're uh, talking to Detective Raymond Vecchio, Chicago PD. As of this morning.

Welsh handed me back my badge. With my name on it. It came with conditions, too many conditions but I'm a cop again. So I'm happy. Don't get back on the street officially 'til I've uh, completed my end of the deal and they won't give me my goddamn gun, which pisses me off beyond all words... but I get to do my job again.

And that's great.

And I guess it brings me to Chicago for good. Not where I thought I'd be five months ago but then a lot has uh, happened since then so... Chicago's where I am.

Can't even imagine Kowalski's face when I walk into the 27th. Thing's are getting better.
