Why have I got a journal?
Good question.

Never been one for writing but I guess I just need to know that there are people out there willing to listen. Not that I really got anything important to say, just nice to talk, you know?

I used to talk. Actually, I had a friend, well, he's still my friend, he used to talk enough for the both of us. But since moving to Florida, I haven't really kept in touch as much as I had hoped I would. But I told him I'd keep in touch, and who knows, maybe it'll be easier this way? Anyway, Benny, if you're reading this, hey they finally got electricity up in the Mother-land huh?! Maybe you're finally rubbing off on me, but I miss Chicago, I miss my home, now I kinda get how you felt all those years stuck in Illinois. Hell, I even miss the Eski--  Inuit stories. And you. And Dief. I miss being a cop, I miss the 2-7. I miss being Detective Raymond Vecchio. Maybe I'll get it back one day, all of it.

You'll never guess what I heard today. God, it's so hilarious, it almost hurts to think about it.

I was experimenting on this journal thing, right? Typing in names of people I know, seeing if they got one of these too. I type in Kowalski's name, don't ask me why, I dunno - just going through people at the 2-7 I guess. Anyway, turns out this punk has one. And the crap he writes in it! Y'know, it's not so funny when you think about it. Spreading rumours about him and Fraser being... Fraser being.. liking.. Fraser not being Fraser. 'Cos that's what he's saying. He's saying the guy I've known for years, the guy I was partners with for two years, felt like a lifetime and not nearly long enough, the guy who is my best friend, the guy I know better than I know myself, he's saying Fraser wasn't/isn't/will never be that guy. The guy I love like my own brother.

Kowalski's a loser, he's deluded. Just gotta wait till Fraser sees that too.
