My badge looks pretty

You are 74% Canuck!

Now that's what I'm talking about! You did good, you really, really did. I can call you my friend and not have to feel ashamed, and I thank you for that, really I do. Thank you, that is just really great!

How Canadian Are You?
Quiz Created on GoToQuiz

Only 74%??

I've been away from Mounties for way too long...

You're Totally Sarcastic

You sarcastic? Never! You're as sweet as a baby bunny.
Seriously, though, you have a sharp tongue - and you aren't afraid to use it.
And if people are too wimpy to deal with your attitutde, then too bad. So sad.

Baby bunny?!  You seen what you look like, lady?

Sharp tongue I like.

You Are 28% Happy

You're not miserable, but you could stand to be a lot happier.
Focus on what's right in the world, and you'll be happier than you ever thought possible.

That means I'm 72% Unhappy.
Don't know what to say.

[identity profile] r-vecchio.livejournal.com 2006-11-17 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
What the fuck? I was using it to make a point.

And it looks like I've made it.

I just, I don't know what to say to you anymore.

[identity profile] ynez-castillo.livejournal.com 2006-11-17 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
Then don't say anything. Nobody's twisting your arm.

I told you never mind and I meant it.

[identity profile] r-vecchio.livejournal.com 2006-11-17 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
Look, this - it uh, wasn't meant to be an interrogation. You don't wanna tell me, I can't force you but just so you know, I'm not - happy I guess would be the word - not happy with it. But I'm even unhappier arguing with you so... I'll drop it. It's dropped.

You uh, gonna keep talking to me?

[identity profile] ynez-castillo.livejournal.com 2006-11-17 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you. I'm glad you realized you can't force me.

Of course I'm going to keep talking to you. Now that we're changing the subject.

[identity profile] r-vecchio.livejournal.com 2006-11-17 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
No problem.

You wanna hear something funny?

[identity profile] r-vecchio.livejournal.com 2006-11-17 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
Okay, lemme paint you a little picture.

There's a Mountie, let's call him Fraser. He liases with a cop, I wonder what we'll call him. Nah, I'll be nice. His name is Stanley uh, Kowalski.

Then Vecchio comes along, or back, whatever. Vecchio's the tall, dark and handsome one by the way. He's also a cop.

So, we have two official partner-less cops, a Mountie who liases and a mean, mean Lieutenant who I forgot to add to the story until just now.

You with me so far?

[identity profile] ynez-castillo.livejournal.com 2006-11-17 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
I'm with you. Even though the tall, dark, handsome one is distracting me.

[identity profile] r-vecchio.livejournal.com 2006-11-17 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
*grin* As he should do.

Anyway, these two cops haven't really, sorta got on very well. For reasons that really don't need re-hashing right now since this is meant to be a funny story. And they get talking. For once. In fact, it's a meme (which the tall, dark and handsome one loves) that gets them talking.

And Kowalski figures their Lieutenant is a mean, mean man, as mentioned before. Vecchio agrees, blah, blah, blah. And they come to the conclusion that should this mean, mean man partner them up, they could most probably survive it...

So…Detectives Vecchio and Kowalski… official partners?

[Narrator’s in-put, i.e. me, TDH one: “Oh my Lord, it’s like a cheesy spin-off.”]

[identity profile] ynez-castillo.livejournal.com 2006-11-17 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
Are you kidding me? That would be great if you and Ray were partners!

Even given the cheesy spin-off factor, I can't think of anything that would be better for both of you.

[identity profile] r-vecchio.livejournal.com 2006-11-17 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
You really think so? I mean, Fraser would still be liaising, which is great but that was never anything official. And I guess I don't completely hate the idea of being his partner. Don't think I hate it at all, actually.

[identity profile] ynez-castillo.livejournal.com 2006-11-17 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
I get a good vibe from Ray. He seems very reliable. I'd be happy knowing he had your back.

[identity profile] r-vecchio.livejournal.com 2006-11-17 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
Reliable. Not the word I would use but yeah, I'd probably learn to trust him pretty quick. Turned a corner, I think.

And not to bowl you over with all this sudden Kowalski/Vecchio lovin', but uh, we talked about Thanksgiving and New York, and he suggested maybe uh, the four of us going out to dinner. Together. It'd be a good way for you to get to know Fraser and you never know, it might be interesting. So...uh, what d'you think?

[identity profile] ynez-castillo.livejournal.com 2006-11-17 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
That sounds great. I can make reservations for someplace Friday night? How long are they going to be in the city, do you know?

[identity profile] r-vecchio.livejournal.com 2006-11-17 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
Wow. Okay, uh, I don't know. I'm not sure. Long weekend maybe?

[identity profile] ynez-castillo.livejournal.com 2006-11-17 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
Any ideas about what sort of food? I don't think there's such a thing as Canadian cuisine, is there?

[identity profile] r-vecchio.livejournal.com 2006-11-17 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
Well, there is but I doubt you'll find a restaurant that specializes in pemmican and caribou. But uh, no, he eats pretty normally.

[identity profile] ynez-castillo.livejournal.com 2006-11-17 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
Well, what sort of food do you want?

...

Caribou?

[identity profile] r-vecchio.livejournal.com 2006-11-17 04:57 am (UTC)(link)
I don't mind, I'm easy. Think they're are coming for the weekend actually, Kowalski might've mentioned it.

...

Kinda like a big moose.

[identity profile] ynez-castillo.livejournal.com 2006-11-17 05:14 am (UTC)(link)
Thai? Vietnamese? We could go down to Chinatown.

I know what a caribou is! I just didn't know they were food!

[identity profile] r-vecchio.livejournal.com 2006-11-17 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
Chinatown's good. Fraser can order in Mandarin for us.

Oh. Well, you kinda eat anything up there. I ate bugs. Not nice. Not nice at all.

[identity profile] ynez-castillo.livejournal.com 2006-11-17 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't know you went to Canada. Excuse me, went to Canada and ate bugs.

[identity profile] r-vecchio.livejournal.com 2006-11-17 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
Hey! It was necessary. It's not like I would've chosen to eat them but...

And I been to Canada plenty of times. Blown up some psychos in white suits, crashed a plane...caught, or may have slightly killed, a murderer with my sling shot thingy, uh, oh, saved Fraser from dying. Yeah. Canada holds a lotta memories for me.

[identity profile] ynez-castillo.livejournal.com 2006-11-17 05:53 am (UTC)(link)
I hardly know where to begin.

Let me guess, Fraser was involved in all these events somehow. Besides the one where you saved him from dying, obviously.

Sling shot thingy?

[identity profile] r-vecchio.livejournal.com 2006-11-17 06:22 am (UTC)(link)
How did you guess?

It's always to do with Fraser. I blew up Fraser's cabin when the white suit guys came after us. I'd been blown up just recently and went all the way to Canada to help him find the killers of his dad...then a whole bunch of stuff relating to Fraser happened, I ended up in a sled. Enough said.

Uh, yeah, Fraser crashed the plane when the pilot/murderer bailed, Fraser made me eat bugs when we were stranded...and kinda starving. That's when I had to carry him 'cause he lost the use of his legs and was blind as a bat. So, yeah, I made this swingy thing with a stone tied on the end, swung it. It hit the cliff. Down came some kick ass rocks and they landed on the crim. Bingo. One dead guy.
