What the hell is that supposed to mean?

Oh, thank you! Is there lots of stimulating conversation during your meals? It must be wonderful.

Do you enjoy cooking?

(ooc: *pets her poor lonely muse*)

If by stimulating conversation you mean yelling, arguing and name calling, then yeah, there's lots and lots of it.

Depends what kind of mood I'm in, I guess.

[ooc: *pets with you* :D]

How wonderful!

Cooking normally puts me in a good mood, no matter the state of mind I began in.

...You're a nut, Ren.

What if you can't be bothered to cook? Or are too whacked from work?

[identity profile] in-a-chinashop.livejournal.com 2007-03-15 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Mealtimes back home were mostly silent affairs.

I never can't "be bothered" to cook. Although, sometimes I do fall asleep before I have the chance and just don't eat that evening.

Oh, I made a mouthwatering pizza a few weeks ago, using sundried tomatoes in place of tomato puree!

[identity profile] r-vecchio.livejournal.com 2007-03-16 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe I should re-word it... Uh...

Take-out.

[identity profile] in-a-chinashop.livejournal.com 2007-03-16 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
Oh.

It feels like cheating.

[identity profile] r-vecchio.livejournal.com 2007-03-16 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
It's a treat, Turnbull. Sit in front of the TV...if you have one...stick on the Bulls, kick back with a slice of pizza...what's better?

When was the last time you had take-out?

[identity profile] in-a-chinashop.livejournal.com 2007-03-16 09:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I did actually purchase a television, Ray, after..... I don't watch it much, though, except for curling and nature programs.

I've never ordered take-out for myself.

[identity profile] r-vecchio.livejournal.com 2007-03-16 09:46 pm (UTC)(link)
...You did? Hey, my advice must be pretty good then. But there's more out there than just the Discovery Channel, Ren.

Are you kidding me?

[ooc: OMG! *heart melts...all over his freakin' Italian leather shoes!! Aww, man* Way to break my muse ^_^]

[identity profile] in-a-chinashop.livejournal.com 2007-03-16 10:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, it has proven worth having. The DVD player is a wonderful addition as well. Sometimes, if I'm fortunate, I catch some televised opera on one of the channels. What would you recommend, Ray?

It seems like quite a lonely thing to do, ordering food for just myself.

(ooc: *sends Ren to get a mop* Heh. I bought a little packet of spiced tea leaves from Whitards. It smells gorgeous, it tastes pretty good... But there's these bits floating in it, big, chunky bits, and I don't know if I'm meant to eat them....Ren's not helping, telling me I'm unlikely to die from trying....)

[identity profile] r-vecchio.livejournal.com 2007-03-16 10:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Sports channel. The Bulls, Cubs, Bears. The 'hawks are on quite a lot but I guess you'd be supportin' the Leafs, huh? Channel hopping is the best thing to do. It's the metaphorical box of chocolates.

Jeez, we have to fix that, Ren.

[ooc: Oh, the irony. The only way Frannie could go watch a DVD with Ren is 'cause of Ray's note? Lol. Uh, I think you're supposed to filter all the big, chunky bits out of it...XD]

[identity profile] in-a-chinashop.livejournal.com 2007-03-16 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Actually, I support the Oilers. Not that its the most cheering experience most of the time...

Do we have to?

(ooc: LOL! I hadn't thought of it like that! XD Heh. I normally buy my fancy teas in bags, but these were for charity. While I own 2 - 2! and I normally make my tea straight in the mug - teapots, I don't have one of those cute little tea strainer things... Edmonton's hockey team are on the losing streak from hell right now.)

[identity profile] r-vecchio.livejournal.com 2007-03-17 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
The Oilers? They blow. You obviously don't like being on the winning team that often. Go Flames!

It's un-American, Turnbull. Not eating take-out is un-American. You're...disrespecting our country.

[identity profile] in-a-chinashop.livejournal.com 2007-03-17 10:53 pm (UTC)(link)
They were good once... Its more a case of being consistant in one's loyalties than picking a winning team. You think you're funny, don't you?

Fine. I will show your country due respect by consuming oily under cooked food and grow obese.

[identity profile] r-vecchio.livejournal.com 2007-03-17 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
So was the Devil. Think it? Nooooo.

That's the spirit. You have to shop around though, Ren. Find the best places to order from and stick with it. Like I stick with the Bulls 'cause they're the best.
